Another winter season comes to an end. Thanks again to the 724th for letting use their facility. We could'nt do it without you! Congratulations go out to the winners of the classes for both the Thursday and Sunday series. We have the summer schedule ready to go, you can view it here. It will be added to our event calendar shortly. The first race is tentatively scheduled for May 29th. That's if the weather cooperates ;) So take this time to get your off road gear ready, because summer is coming!!!!

World Of Wheels Car Show

aka

Minnesota State On Road Champs 2008

This is the World of Wheels car race, otherwise known as the Minnesota State On Road Champs - 2008. This will be the weekend of March 28th-30th. This was big last year and we plan on it being even bigger this year. We have a ton of door prizes donated from our sponsors.  Please visit this thread for hotel, event, and pre-registration info,  http://www.lsrcc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=20012#20012 . The clock is ticking!!!!!

Our winter season started off with a bang! We had 76 cars for the 724th Fundraiser race. What a great turnout! Lots of great racing, the competition was awesome. This is also our first year with allowing the brushless systems. They don't seem to be any quicker than the brushed system. In  fact you have to dramatically change your gearing. We'll see what the verdict is at the end of the season. We all should thank Bonnie for manning the food table all day. She did a great job. How can you beat taco in a bag?!?! Of course we have our weekly club race, but stay tuned for info on the New Years Rumble in January and the State On Road Champs in March.

Our final race is upon us. The Chill on The hill 2007. Our official info thread in the forums can be viewed here. We also have a pre-registration thread going. If you plan on making it that please sign up here. Friday night the 5th will be an open practice night from 1pm-8pm. The First Annual MNROC (Minnesota Race Of Champions)! On Friday Oct 5th at the Lake Superior R/C Park we Will hold the Minnesota Race of Champions. We will have 10 drivers per class. Classes are as follows:

1) Stadium Truck
2) Monster Truck
3) 1/8 scale buggy
4) Arena Truck

Race length is 20 min; Race will start at 9:00pm so you all will have time to make it down. (get to do some great night racing under our lights) open practice is over Friday at 8:30 pm to get the tracked groomed. This event is going on with what should be a great crowd, the October race at the speedway will be going on and many will be camping so what better way to show these people what a great sport we have, with our best drivers showing their skills.

Prizes 1st place receives 15 dollars, trophy and bragging rights for the year! 2nd receives 10 dollars, 3rd get 5 dollars.

Who is in this race? You tell us. Pm Ron (mecagodzilla) here and give the races you have won and these races don’t have to be just the nitro series, your club races, and special races you have won. If you are a multi class champion fill out what class you would like first and so on, we are looking to have 40 different drivers in this, you can nominate someone. You will have to fill out a racers data sheet for sponsors and class you have be champion of. The cost is 5 dollars per r. This is going to be a great weekend of racing; I am so looking forward to seeing everyone again. Any questions post them here or pm me.

Time for another update. The season has started, a little later than we and hoped. Between getting the new track completed and mother nature dumping rain on us it took a little longer than expected. The new facilities are awesome! Big pit lane, longer drivers stand (and covered), heated/air conditioned scoring booth, tons of lighting,... plus many more features!! We have some events scheduled for the summer, Monster Truck Mayhem, Proctor Fair Frenzy, Chill on The Hill to name a few. Please check our forums for more info.

We'll another winter racing season has gone by. We  had a great turnout all season long. Once again we have to thank the 724th for the use of their facility, we wouldn't have a place to run if it wasn't for them. We started the season off with the 724th Fundraiser race. We ended up donating over $400 to the Family Fund for the 724th families. The next big race was the News Years Rumble. We made it a two day event this year to accommodate the large number of racers we expected. We weren't disappointed! It was another tropical themed race, lots of people in shorts and brightly colored shirts. Great racing all weekend, lots of fun! If you want to check some pictures from that race, you can view them here. The other big event that kind of fell into our laps was the World of Wheels Race, better known as the Minnesota State On-road Champs. This was put together on very short notice. We had to get everything lined up with the DECC and World of Wheels car show. Not only that we had to haul all of our equipment from the armory in Superior over to the DECC. Thanks goes out to all of you that helped! We had a great turnout, just as many if not more then the News Years Rumble race. Another great weekend of racing! Many thanks goes out to the people that have made this last year of racing as successful as it was, thank you! You can also see some pictures from the State Champs weekend here

On to the summer season. As all of you know we had to move our dirt track to a new location for this up coming race season. The sad part s we lost our awesome view, great news is out track will be bigger and better! The construction of the track has begun. Our new 40' drivers stand is in place and ready to be painted, track borders up also needing painting. The lights and electrical are going in this weekend. This will be a first rate race facility!! The race dates aren't set for the season, so make sure to check the forums often.
